Women are blazing trails, shaping societies, and inspiring communities, but we often don’t hear enough about these women. Let’s elevate women’s voices to hear real stories, connect across cultures, and explore how these stories can be used for social change.

We're partnering with incredible female chefs to present FUTURE OF WOMEN Breakfasts.

Learn

You're invited to an intimate breakfast with some of our favorite women in LA. We're gathering incredible LA women to break bread and share ideas one Monday morning a month. We will enjoy a delicious breakfast by rockstar female LA chefs while we learn from two LA women who are challenging norms and narratives to make the world a better place.

Come with an open mind, ready to learn and share. We're inviting a diverse group of women who will enlighten us with their experiences and perspectives. Start your week off right with good conversation and fresh ideas!

This month, let's talk about diversity in film.

Mishel Prada is an actress and producer known for Fear the Walking Dead: Passage (2016) and Tell Me How I Die (2016). She stars in the new Starz Latinx drama series Vida, a half-hour drama series focusing on two Mexican-American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles.

Denise Hewett is the Founder and CEO of Scriptd, a digital screenplay marketplace to bolster scripts from underrepresented groups. She comes from the world of entertainment, fashion and nightlife, starting her career as the Director of Sales and Marketing at famed nightclub The Box and working for cultural trailblazers like Patricia Field (Sex and the City, Ugly Betty), Marvin Jarrett (NYLON), Courtney Love, Simon Hammerstein and Randy Weiner before creating content at MTV and Endemol. She is a seasoned television and digital producer who lives at the intersection of activism, entrepreneurship, and entertainment. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Gallatin at NYU where she studied cultural signifiers, how they affect and reflect society.

Mishel and Denise are dedicated to seeing more diverse voices on and off screen. At breakfast, we'll dive into their experience in film and hear their thoughts on the #futureofwomen in film.

Built in 1926 as a Prop Design Studio for film and television, the Spanish Colonial style building was later a violin factory and in 1967 Costume Designer Rita Riggs purchased the building and made it her studio for her work with everyone from Alfred Hitchcock to Norman Lear.
